These terms govern your use of the Vmitr mobile application and the vmitr.in website (together, the “Service”). By signing in to Vmitr you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use Vmitr
Vmitr is an invite-only professional network. Accounts are created by Vmitr administrators; you cannot register yourself. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. You may hold only one account, and you may not share it, sell it, or let anyone else use it.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password secret. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication under Profile. Tell us at support@vmitr.in immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.
2. Community rules
Vmitr exists so that professionals can refer real business to one another in good faith. You agree not to:
- harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate any member;
- post or send content that is hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that incites harm;
- impersonate another person, business, or a Vmitr administrator, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- send spam, chain messages, pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, or unsolicited bulk solicitations;
- post referrals you know to be fake, or accept a referral you have no intention of honouring;
- advertise or promote anything unlawful;
- scrape, harvest, or export the member directory, or use another member's contact details for any purpose other than the business introduction they were shared for;
- upload malware, attempt to breach our security, probe our infrastructure, or access data belonging to another member;
- use the Service to violate any applicable law.
Zero tolerance for abusive content. Every member can report content or another member from inside the app, and can block any member instantly. We review every report, ordinarily within 24 hours, and we remove violating content and suspend or permanently ban the accounts responsible. A blocked member cannot message you or see your messages.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post: your profile, your messages, your referrals, and your product and service listings. By posting it, you grant Vmitr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where another member's copy legitimately survives (see the Privacy Policy).
You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
4. Content you see
Profiles, referrals and messages are created by members, not by Vmitr. We do not verify the accuracy of any member's claims about their business, qualifications, or the referrals they post. Vmitr is not a party to any agreement you reach with another member, and we are not responsible for the outcome of any business you transact through the network. Exercise the same judgment you would at any professional gathering.
5. Memberships and payment
Some Vmitr features require a paid membership. Fees, billing periods and inclusions are described at the point of purchase. Unless the law requires otherwise or we say so in writing, fees are non-refundable. We may change our prices on notice; the new price applies from your next billing period. Failure to pay may result in suspension of your membership.
6. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Vmitr at any time and may delete your account from Profile → Delete Account, or via the web deletion request.
We may suspend or terminate your account, without refund, if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your conduct puts other members or the Service at risk. Where it is lawful and practical to do so, we will tell you why.
7. Availability
We work to keep Vmitr available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vmitr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Vmitr against any claim brought by a third party arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Vmitr after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi, Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
